The Surinamese angisa is a beautiful, colorful head creation folded from a starched cloth. Through certain folding techniques, various creations are folded, each of which can convey its own message. It demands attention, creativity, and love for culture and art. The angisa is historical and intangible cultural heritage. This particular piece was commissioned by Hilde Hoost for Keti Koti 2021.
